Outdoors WA is the Peak Industry Body fostering industry development for the provision of safe, high quality outdoor adventure activity programs in Western Australia, representing the combined interests of camping, outdoor education, outdoor recreation and adventure tourism in WA.Functional roles include the industry code of conduct, publications development, advocacy, cross government liaison, and members' services including an annual state conference.Current key projects include the implementation of the Industry Quality Framework comprising the alignment of accreditation, adventure activity standards and the National Outdoor Leader Registration Scheme.In addition Outdoors WA has taken a lead role in the provision of professional development and training in Western Australia. The Outdoor Education Alliance is also facilitated by Outdoors WA.Outdoors WA contracts consultants to fulfil its major strategic and operational initiatives, whilst being governed by a volunteer structure comprising a Board of Management, sub-committees and working parties.
