Description:
Specialising in all aspects of challenge ropes courses including: * design and installation of low, high and 'peak' elements (e.g. flying foxes, giant swings) * maintenance work * site assessments and safety inspections * supply of materials and safety equipment * conduct of instructor training courses and facilitation of training programs * supply of written materials (e.g. instructional manuals, maintenance guidelines). In addition: * installation work performed to current Australian and overseas standards and practices. * safety inspections performed to the requirements of the Australian Camps Association Accreditation program. * safety equipment conforms to international recreational standards. * training based on the current national training competencies. * all work is based on extensive consultation with the client. Outdoor Initiatives: * has over 18 years experience in the challenge ropes course industry and 32 years in the outdoor education, recreation and camping industries. * is a qualified Workplace Assessor and Trainer (Level IV) and ropes course instructor * is a member of the Association for Challenge Course Technology (USA) and a board member of the Outdoor Recreation Centre, Victoria. * has an extensive client base.
