The Australian Camps Association is a national professional association which promotes safe and meaningful camp experiences for all. To this end, ACA provides an accreditation program and education to facilitate professional practices in camp operations and outdoor activity provision and encourages high standards among the following businesses, organisations and individuals:
- Residential campsite owners and operators
- Outdoor education and recreation providers
- School/community owned campsites
- Group accommodation providers
- Retreats and conference centres
- Adventure learning centres and providers
- Training and service providers to the outdoor profession
- Schools, community organisations and other users of camps and outdoor education and recreation providers
- Individuals with a keen interest in the outdoor profession
ACA also strives to assist the community in gaining access to high quality camp and outdoor activity programs.
ACA members consist of:-
- Camps or Outdoor Activity Providers offering accommodation and/or outdoor programs for the public, often as community or school groups
- Service Providers supplying products and services to ACA members (other than outdoor activity programs)
- Individuals who are associated with related organisations or who want to support the profession
- Students who are in full time secondary or tertiary study

with Confidence Accreditation Program
The Australian Camps Association offers a nationally recognised accreditation program to its members at a reduced rate. It indicates the standard of the program / campsite operation and provides an additional marketing tool, which can be used to promote your program.
Insurance companies and government bodies are increasingly turning to the Camping with Confidence accreditation as a means to introducing acceptable standards of conduct and risk management. Accreditation is a good investment in your operations and an excellent business development tool.

to Camps & Outdoor Activity Providers
The Australian Camps Association has a widely accessible publication titled Guide to Camps and Outdoor Activity Providers utilised by school teachers, outdoor educators, program providers, church & community groups seeking accommodation and activities, the directory is printed biennially.
ACA members receive a free 1/4 page listing.
Website Listing
Members are entitled to an extensive website listing. The website is continually updated and provides an opportunity to link your own website and to advertise your vacancies.
Holiday
leaflet (ACA Accredited Campsites only)
The Australian Camps Association produce a total of four School Holiday Leaflets per year. The School Holiday Leaflet is a cost-effective way to advertise your holiday program and should be included in your marketing plan. The leaflet is distributed to subscribers, schools & family services in Australia and is also included on the website.

The Prices and Occupancy survey gathers and processes data to assist your business. The data relates to current prices, occupancy rates and industry issues giving you unique business insight.

The Camping with Confidence accreditation program, since its inception in 1988, has and continues to provide a set of requirements for the safe and reasonable operation of a campsite or outdoor activity provider where the health and safety of the consumer and operator staff is assured.

Public workshops, training days and conferences provide an excellent and inexpensive opportunity to broaden horizons and increase your knowledge. The Australian Camps Association is delighted to hold professional development events in all regions. The annual conference introduces new ideas and new skills with challenges to our thinking and practices.

Support
Various government departments fund special school development projects at the Australian Camps Association. We are available to assist teachers, campsite operators and service providers enhance their camping program through information, advice and curriculum materials and professional development programs.

The Australian Camps Association can provide consultancy services to assess and advise current and prospective owners on business and strategic planning, site development, operational issues, marketing and promotion and accreditation matters. Members have access to employer services, who are there to service your needs relating to employment and industrial relations.
