The Australian Camps Association’s free booking information service
Print version (PDF 30KB)
Congratulations! You just discovered you’ve got to organise a Spring retreat for your club or organisation and you’ve rung ten campsites only to find they’re already booked. You only have a few spare sessions a week and not much time to spend on the phone.
Does this sound familiar?
At the Australian Camps Association, we appreciate that organisations don’t always have the time to spend hours on the phone looking for a campsite, so we’ve introduced a free booking information service which can save you hours of time.
How does the booking information service work?
Simply complete the online request form and tell us what you need:
• Dates or number of days.
• Approximate numbers.
• Catering arrangements.
• What indoor facilities you need.
• Your program requirements.
• What part of Australia you would like to go to.
• Wheelchair access or other special needs.
Technology works for you
We will email and fax this information to campsites in the state you requested. If they are available for the dates you have requested and meet your other needs, they will contact you in a manner chosen by you - phone, fax, email or post.
It’s then just a case of picking the quotes you like and calling the campsite.
We simply ask you to let us know the outcome of your decision — where do you plan to go, what have you decided.
But my group is too small!
Just because you have less than twenty in your group, doesn’t mean there aren’t places that can help you. About half our member campsites can and will take small groups — it often depends on the time of year, your catering and activity needs, and the physical facilities at the campsite. Sharing may be an option.
Our directory “Guide to Camps and Outdoor Activity Providers” (available for download or purchase) has a list of places that, depending on circumstances, take small groups.
