Whether it’s a school camp or a group residential, PGL provides a fun and challenging adventure experience that will give young people a taste of the real outdoors. PGL has brought its expertise - and more than 55 years of experience in outdoor adventure in the UK - to its first adventure centre in Australia: Campaspe Downs near Kyneton, Victoria. Environment

Situated on the outskirts of the Macedon Ranges just one hour from Melbourne, PGL Campaspe Downs is set amidst 160 acres of natural bushland, surrounded by rolling hills and farmland.

Accomodation

Accommodation comprises a total of 400 beds, split across two areas, one each side of the main lake.

Three bunkhouses have a total capacity of approximately 200 with single or twin en suites for teachers and accompanying adults. The bunkhouses can easily be divided to allow for two groups of 100 with their own toilet and shower blocks.

16 cabins have a mix of rooms for 4 to 8 in bunks with single and twin rooms for teachers or leaders. All cabins have en suite toilet and shower facilities.

Minimum Group Size

No minimum group sizes.

Catering

We provide a fully catered service, with a menu full of fresh vegetables, salads and fruit, plus plenty of carbohydrates for energy. We can also cater for special dietary requirements.

If you’d rather self-cater, then we can offer a purpose-built building which seats 250 people.

Accessibility

PGL is committed to helping all guests realise their potential. Where appropriate and practical we will have measures in place for guests with additional needs to enable them to access facilities and to engage as fully as possible in the adventure programmes.

Due to a limited number of coaches with lifts for wheelchairs, please ensure that bookings are made in advance so that a vehicle is available for you.

Please inform us of any participants with additional needs relating to disability/accessibility b completing our Additional Needs Form and returning it to us when you confirm your booking.

Indoor Facilities

The camp has plenty of facilities which include two dining rooms, an indoor stadium, seven conference and recreation rooms, a chapel, 25m indoor heated pool, two leaders’ lounges, public telephones, an open fire, and an indoor sports and games area.

Outdoor Facilities

Action-packed activity sessions, supervised by our friendly, well-trained PGL instructors, help children develop new skills and confidence in a safe and fun environment.

Abseiling, archery, bush walk, climbing wall, crate stack, flying fox, giant swing, initiative activities, leap of faith, low ropes course, open canoeing, orienteering, possum glider, raft building, rope climb challenge, survivor, swimming, team games & ballsports, yabbying.

Hanging Rock, Organ Pipes, Daylesford Railway, Wineries, Mt Macedon National Park.
