I progressed on at a rapid pace from the ACT (keeping to the speed limit, of course) and made swift progress to OEG Camp Wombaroo, Bowral, NSW. It had been several years since first visiting this beautiful 50 hectare property. My write up of that visit can be seen here.
Moyra and Jon greeted me and we immediately looked at the recent additions and major improvements that they had undertaken since my last visit. These included an addition of a fully fitted kitchen, seating for up to 40 guests and a deck with camp views. They have also started to refurbish inside and out of the cabins that accommodate around 140 beds. The colours are bight and cheerful and most importantly inviting.
I love seeing camps that have made a real effort when refurbishing to brighten up the bedrooms. I just think the Southern Highlands of NSW and Camp Wombaroo really trumps with its location.
