Last visit on our camp visits journey was to drop in and see Matt Hope at Camp Sunnystones. I really enjoyed my last visit here some four years ago. I clearly remember the setting amongst sweeping valleys that proliferate this region.
These steep sided valleys are incredibly hard to see until you are literally standing on the rim of them. The camp buildings didn’t fail to impress me again. Built in 1970 by hand out of stone tediously collected from the property; what a mammoth task.
Matt’s enthusiasm has not waned from my last visit. Nearly all campers that stay at Sunnystones are dropped off in the nearby forest and spend a couple of hours walking through the deep valleys before emerging at the camp where they are facilitated through many activities.
