How Does the Template Work?

Each accreditation requirement and its related documents are grouped in a folder and named accordingly e.g.‘Requirement 1’.

Requirement 1 folder
This folder has two types of documents

  • PDF documents (able to be copied, printed and read if you have the necessary software – see later)
  • Rich Text Format (rtf) documents that can be copied on to your hard disk and opened in a variety of software programs.

This document includes

  • Requirement 1 and associated checklist items
  • interpretative and background information.
  • two letters you’ll need one for completion, one by the EHO and another by the Building Inspector

The following documents are in RTF format so you can open them using a variety of software and then add, adapt or delete parts of them.
Every effort has been made to keep the document formatting simple and able to be easily amended or removed by accreditation applicants. All explanatory or guide notes in the Responses to requirements or attachments are
boxed and written in italics
and can be deleted by simply highlighting the box and hitting the delete button.

This provides a simple response page which you can adapt to your circumstances. It also provides cross-references to pages that may be used to verify each of the checklists items in Requirement 1.
